Bashundhara Group, a leading business conglomerate of the country, Saturday distributed some 6,840 units of Bashundhara-brand Khata (writing paper) for the teachers and students of the Islamic Research Centre Bangladesh (IRCB). The Islamic Research Centre is a higher Islamic research institution situated at Bashundhara Residential Area in the city. The institution currently has 810 students.
As part of its corporate social responsibility, Bashundhara Group has taken the initiative of distributing khata. The initiative was inaugurated through distributing khata at the Islamic Research Centre. The next distribution of Bashundhara-brand writing paper will be held at UCEP Bangladesh on December 21.
Bashundhara Group’s Deputy Managing Director Md Mosatafizur Rahman, Adviser (Press and Media) Md Abu Tayeb, Chief Marketing Promotion Officer Md Saiful Islam Helali, HOD-sales (A4 paper and exercise book) Md Mozibur Rahman and other high officials were present at the khata distribution function at the Islamic research institution.
Faqihul Millat Mufti Abdur Rahman, the founder Principal of the Islamic Research Centre, along with Mufti Arshad Rahmani, Mufti Enamul Kashemi, Mufti Shahed Rahmani, Mufti Suhael, Maulana Rezwan Zamirabadi and students of the institution were also present on the occasion.
The students of the Islamic research centre took part in different international Islamic Fiqh and Law conferences and training programmes on reciting holy Quran correctly.
On behalf of the institution, gratitude was expressed to the chairman of Bashundhara Group and a special prayer was held seeking divine blessing for peace and progress of the nation and betterment Bashundhara Group.
Bashundhara Group will also hold khata distribution programmes at different institutions of Narayanganj, Manikganj and Brahmanbaria.
